Our Faculty's Department of Anthropology and Erasmus Office hosted the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) held for the first time at our university

In the program where the faculty members of the Department of Anthropology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmet İhsan Aytek and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alper Yener Yavuz, along with Dr. Efthymia Nikita and Dr. Antonio Caruso serve as instructors, a group of 16 students from Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Cyprus Institute, University of Warsaw, Polish Center of Mediterranean Archaeology, and National and Kapodistrian University of Athens will receive training in human osteoarchaeology. The program, which will last for three weeks with two weeks online, will include an intensive training process lasting 5 days on human skeletons located in the laboratories of the Department of Anthropology during the face-to-face training section. Throughout the program, participants will receive practical training on important topics such as age estimation from human skeletons, sex determination, dietary patterns, diseases, and the identification of living conditions.
