An Orientation Program for First-Year Students in the Department of English Language and Literature was Organized

An orientation program was held for first-year students who joined our Department of English Language and Literature in the 2026-2027 academic year.

The program was organized to support our new students in adapting to university and departmental life, to help them gain information about academic processes, and to introduce the opportunities offered by our department.

During the program, information was provided to our students about the academic structure of the Department of English Language and Literature, the educational process, and the operation of the courses. Explanations were given about course registration and selection processes, academic advising services, exams, and the academic opportunities that students can benefit from during their departmental education.

In the question-and-answer section of the program, the questions of our first-year students regarding the department, courses, academic processes, and university life were answered. Our students also had the opportunity to meet with faculty members and obtain direct information about the topics they were curious about.

The orientation program aimed to contribute to our students' adaptation to the Department of English Language and Literature and university life.
