Our Faculty's Chemistry Department organized the 2024 Chemistry Day Events on May 9, 2024. The events were held in the afternoon at FEF Conference Hall-2. The program was attended by our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Oğuz Gürsoy, our Dean Prof. Dr. Sevilay ÖZER, faculty members, Chemistry Department students, and undergraduate and graduate students from different departments. The program started at 13:30 with a short music recital performed by Music Education students, followed by an introductory speech about the department by the Head of the Department Prof. Dr. Fatih Mehmet Emen. Subsequently, Süleyman Demirel University Chemistry Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Uygun Öksüz gave a conference titled "Chemistry for Smart Materials." Prof. Dr. Ayşegül Öksüz's presentation, which provided a lot of information on the production technologies and applications of various materials, concluded with a Q&A session. Afterwards, a short tea-coffee break was given. In the second part of the event, our university's Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Computer Engineering Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. İsmail Kırbaş gave a conference titled "The Beginning of a New Era in Chemistry: The Artificial Intelligence Revolution from Atoms to Algorithms." Prof. Dr. İsmail Kırbaş's presentation, which shared important information about the relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Chemistry, ended with a Q&A session.
The 2024-Chemistry Day Events concluded with a dinner attended by faculty members and students.
