In accordance with Article 20 of the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331, an election for employee representatives will be held among the employees working in our Faculty to participate in occupational health and safety activities. Personnel wishing to be candidates must apply to our Faculty by Monday, June 15, 2026 by the end of working hours.
Qualifications of the employee representative
In order for an employee to be an employee representative, it is mandatory to have the following qualifications:
a) Must be a full-time permanent employee of the workplace,
b) Must have at least 3 years of work experience,
c) Must have at least completed secondary education.
Authority and responsibilities of the employee representative
(1) The employee representative is authorized to represent employees in matters related to occupational health and safety, participate in activities, monitor the work, request measures to eliminate the source of danger or reduce the risk arising from the danger, make proposals, and similar issues.
(2) The rights of the employee representative cannot be restricted due to the performance of their duties.
(3) The employee representative is obliged to keep confidential the professional secrets of the employer or the workplace, as well as the matters they see and learn, and the private information of employees.
