Our department's faculty member Prof. Dr. Erol KAPLUHAN attended the "Climate Change and Drought Resistant Agriculture Seminar" organized by the Burdur Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.  

In the seminar, presented by Prof. Dr. Levent BAŞAYİĞİT from Isparta University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Agriculture, methods for combating drought, sustainable agricultural practices, and future production strategies were discussed. Important information regarding the efficient use of water resources, soil management, and drought-resistant production models was conveyed to the participants.

In the program, which included a total of 72 participants, including Prof. Dr. Erol KAPLUHAN from the Geography Department of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Faculty of Science and Letters, technical staff from the Burdur Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, various stakeholders from the agricultural sector, and farmers, the effects of climate change on agriculture were addressed. The program concluded with the answers to the participants' questions.
