Program Information: To provide sociology students with general knowledge about the basic institutions, development, contemporary approaches, and findings of sociology, to equip students with scientific research and application skills in the field of sociology, to train sociologists oriented towards research by considering Turkey's socio-economic situation, to systematically collect and evaluate data related to the social structure and problems of Turkey, especially the Burdur-Mediterranean region, and to process these in courses, to provide undergraduate students with the knowledge and skills to pursue postgraduate programs such as master's and doctorate after the undergraduate program, to train students continuing the master's program both theoretically and practically, to train them as teaching staff at the university, and as researchers and experts in private and public sector institutions.

There is a free lunch aid opportunity for students who do not have sufficient financial means. The number of students who can benefit from this opportunity is determined by the University Administrative Board upon the proposal of the SKS Department Directorate. Our students can also benefit from the opportunity to work part-time in various units within the university outside of their education and training hours if they wish.
Dormitory and Accommodation Facilities: Accommodation services are provided to our students by the Credit Dormitories Institution Directorate in our province.
