Program Information: The philosophy department is an undergraduate program that aims to train graduates who can recognize the main problem areas of philosophy along with the equipment of the history of philosophy, think abstractly, thus approach the cultural, social, and ethical problems of our time with a philosophical perspective, criticize, ask questions, not be content with problems but research and carry a sense of responsibility. It aims to ensure that the field of philosophy, which is related to almost every field of the scientific world, especially social sciences, and whose contribution to the birth of basic sciences is generally accepted worldwide, gains a more active position in our country with an interdisciplinary approach.

There is an opportunity for free lunch assistance for students who do not have sufficient financial means. The number of students who can benefit from this opportunity is determined by the University Administrative Board upon the proposal of the SKS Department Directorate. Our students can also benefit from the opportunity to work part-time in various units within the university outside of their education and training hours.
Dormitory and Accommodation Facilities: In our university's İstiklal campuses, there are dormitories with a total capacity of 5,064 beds, including 2,288 for males and 2,776 for females, affiliated with the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Additionally, there are dormitories belonging to the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories in the city center. Besides, private student apartments and hostels in Burdur city center also provide accommodation services.
